羊飼いになりましょう！

Tonight, let's be shepherds. 今晩、羊飼いになりましょう！Let's go out to the fields of Bethlehem and watch the sheep. ベツレヘムの野原で羊の群れの番をしましょう。The sheep might be ours, or belong to our father, or we might be hired help, but it is our job to take care of them. 　その羊が自分の物であったり、父の物であったり、たとえ自分がただの雇い人であったとしても、その羊を守るのが羊飼いの仕事です。 We keep the sheep from getting lost in the dark, and keep them safe from wild animals and sheep rustlers. 暗闇の中に迷い出ないように、野獣や羊泥坊から羊を守る事です。We are ordinary people. 私達は普通の人です。We believe in God, we pray and hope for peace and love. 神様を信じて、平和と愛の為に祈って望みます。We are ordinary people with ordinary hopes and dreams and we have our ordinary faults and sins. 私達は毎日を普通に過ごし、普通の希望と夢があり、普通の欠点と罪が有ります。Sometimes we mess up. We have our hates and prejudices, our evil thoughts and unclean thoughts. たまに間違いをし、憎しみと偏見があり、悪い思いや不潔な思いもあります。 But we trust in a loving God who will forgive us and protect us, just as we protect the sheep. しかし、私達を愛する神様を信じて、私達が羊を守るのと同じように私達を赦して守る神様に信頼します。　Tonight is dark. 今晩は暗いです。　　We cannot see very far off into the distance. 暗くて遠くまで見えません。Neither do we know the future. 同じように、私達は自分の未来も知りません。It is dark. 暗いです。What will happen in our lives? 自分の人生はどうなるでしょうか。What is happening in secret around us right now? 私達の回りに何が起こるかよく分からないでしょう。

And suddenly, there is an angel of the Lord standing before us! そして、突然に、主の天使が私達の前に立ちます！ And around us shines the glory of the Lord. そして、回りを主の栄光が照らします。 It is so sudden that it scares us! それは突然で、びっくりします！ It is so bright that we are terrified! まぶしくて非常に恐れます。 And that glory of the Lord shines right though us, into our hearts and souls, and it reveals the darkness within us. 　そしてその栄光が私達を通して照らします。私達の心と魂の所まで照らして、私達の中にある暗闇を明らかに表します。 At that time, we are aware of our sinfulness before God. その時、神様の御前で私達の罪を悟ります。

In the dim light of this world we may compare ourselves to others quite favorably. この世のうすぐらい光の中で、自分を他の人と比べましたら、自分の状態がかなり良いと思うかもしれません。 We might seem to be good people to others, and even to our own selves. 　他の人にとって、私達が良い人のように見えるでしょう、いや、自分の目にも自分が良い人であるかのように見るでしょう。And so we think God sees us as good, also. それで、神様も私達を良い人のように見てくださるのと思います。 But in the light of the glory of the Lord, before Almighty God our sin is quite evident. しかし、主の栄光の光の中では、全能の神様の御前では、私達の罪が目立ちます。 How much do we really believe, love and trust the one true God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit? 実際どれ程、私達は唯一誠の神：父と子と聖霊の三位一体の神様を信じて愛し、信頼しているでしょうか。

The Angel of the Lord and the Glory of the Lord reveal that we need a Savior. 主の天使と主の栄光は、私達に救い主が必要である事を表します。We need a savior from sin, evil, and death. 罪や悪や死からの救い主が必要です。Without a savior, we know we will die. 救い主がいないと、私達は死ぬと私達は知っています。

But the Angel of the Lord has a message for us. しかし、主の天使は私達の為のメッセージがあります。　Luke 2:10-12. 　ルカ２：１０−１２。 "Don't be afraid! I have good news for you, a message that will fill everyone with joy. Today your Savior, Christ the Lord, was born in David's city. This is how you will recognize him: You will find an infant wrapped in strips of cloth and lying in a manger." 「恐れるな。わたしは、民全体に与えられる大きな喜びを告げる。 今日ダビデの町で、あなたがたのために救い主がお生まれになった。この方こそ主メシアである。 あなたがたは、布にくるまって飼い葉桶の中に寝ている乳飲み子を見つけるであろう。これがあなたがたへのしるしである。」

Hey, Shepherds! 羊飼いさん達！There is nothing to fear. 恐れることはありません。The child we find tonight will rescue us from the consequences of sin. 今晩私達が見つける赤ちゃんは私達を、私たちの罪の結果から救い出してくれます。The child will conquer Satan and his forces of evil. この子は悪魔と悪魔の悪の力を征服します。 The child we find tonight will give his life on a cross and rise again, destroying the power of death for all eternity.今晩私達が見つける子供は、御自分の命を十字架上で捧げて３日目に復活して、悪魔の死の力を永遠に滅ぼします。The child we find in the manger is God-in-human-flesh. この飼い葉桶の中に寝ている乳飲み子は、人間の体を身に付けた神様です。 He is the legitimate King born in the house of Davidダビデの家系に生まれたな王様です。. He is the Savior, the Christ, the Messiah, the Lord!彼は救い主、キリスト、メシヤ、主です！

He has come to save you. あなたを救う為に来られました。 He has come to be your Savior and Lord. あなたの救い主になる為に来られました。 His light takes away your darkness. 彼の光はあなたの暗闇を取ります。Your fickle and faltering faith becomes true faith. あなたの変わりやすい・よろめく信仰は誠の信仰になります。 If your faith was like a candle that flickers with the changing wind and is always in danger of being blown out, then that candle is now replaced by the eternal Glory of the Lord and the multitude of the heavenly army of angels. 例えば、もしあなたの信仰がロウソクのようでしたら、風が吹くとき、チラチラして、吹き消される危険があります。しかし、今は、そのロウソクの代わりに、主の永遠の栄光と天のがあります。And so we join with angels and archangels and all the hosts of heaven and sing the unending hymn, それで、"ゆえに私達は、天使と天使の長(おさ)、および天の群衆と共に、常に主をあがめて言います、""Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those who have his good will!" 「いと高きところには栄光、神にあれ、地には平和、御心に適う人にあれ。」

As the Shepherds said, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see what the Lord has told us about." And so here we are tonight. 羊飼い達が言ったように、「さあ、ベツレヘムへ行こう。主が知らせてくださったその出来事を見ようではないか。」と言うのと同じに、今晩ここに来ました。 "Oh, come, let us adore him." それで共に主を「拝みましょう。」 Amen.　 アーメン。
