The fact that he allows Christians to live on in heaven after they die is a bit like the ability to respawn* in a video game. He gives forgiveness to us even though we don’t deserve it. The Ten Commandments can sometimes be hard to follow (“Honor thy father and mother” is a good example). God has laid out a plan for each person in the world. Catechism class has been really fun and a great way to learn more about my religion. *”Respawn”= given a new life, a second chance. Confirmation Verse, “My sheep listen to my voice; and I know them, and they follow me. By Conner Joseph Nichols Being a Lutheran is like being a regular Christian. We have church services at a regular time and we also have sermons. But, we have some decorations that are close to catholic monasteries. Lutherans don’t do indulgences, but instead they have offerings and the offering goes to an effective use. Our church services are toward God and teach his word in very good detail. I would like to end this off with a prayer. “Dear God, thank you for all that you have blessed us with, keep us strong in the face of death and bless this day. Amen.” Confirmation Verse, “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? My favorite Bible verse is: “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good deed” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). I’m really excited to be confirmed, because I become a member of the church. One of the things that I have always wanted to do is to help someone choose God, and become a Christian.
