「心すっきり」

小教理問答書で学ぶことができて良かったです。典礼のことや十戒、主のいのりなどのことを学ぶことなく、前の教会では、洗礼を受けたので、「私は洗礼を受けました｣と堂々と言うことができませんでした。しかし今回この堅信式で心すっきりできそうです。ありがとうございます。

堅信式の聖句: 詩篇55:22

あなたの荷を主にゆだねよ。主はあなたをささえられる。主は正しい人の動かされるのを決してゆるされない。

“A Sure Heart”

I am happy that I could study the Small Catechism. Without studying about the Sacraments, the Ten Commandments, or the Lord’s Prayer, I received Baptism in my previous church. But I could never boldly say, “I have been baptized.” But this time, though this Confirmation Ceremony, my heart and mind are made sure. Thank you.

Confirmation verse: Psalm 55:22

Cast your burden on the LORD and he will sustain you;　　 he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

“Martin Luther’s Small Catechism”

By the guidance of God, what I learned from Pastor Michael Nearhood is my treasure. I studied Catholic doctrine, but by studying again Luther’s doctrine, I could organize things for myself. This is the working of the Holy Spirit for which we prayed before each class.

In my life, the Trinitarian God is always walking with me, and giving me guidance, comfort and peace. Confirming that God loves me, I receive Confirmation. Thank You, Jesus.

My favorite Bible Verse is John 15:16, “You did not choose me, but I chose you.”
